The Anxiety Fear Connection And How To Get Relief
Anxiety and fear are technically two quite separate conditions you can still find relief through the anxiety and panic attacks treatment program found on this site. While anxiety consists of the uncomfortable feelings associated with a threat that is not fully recognized or present and seems to be uncontrollable or unavoidable, fear is usually a reaction to a present threat, and triggers an escape or avoidance behavior.
What is the anxiety fear connection and what are their different meanings? The connection comes in the form of some of the anxiety disorders that people suffer from. Many of these disorders involve fear, either the fear triggers the disorder or the sufferer fears repeat episodes of the panic anxiety attacks associated with the disorder they suffer from.
There are quite a few different anxiety fear disorders. Most of these disorders involve a perceived threat that cannot be controlled. Social anxiety disorder, for example, is the fear of embarrassing or negative attention given in public. Agoraphobia is the anxiety of being in situation or place from which it would be embarrassing or difficult to escape.
We sometimes see a tendency to fear certain situations with the various disorders. Phobias also fall under the category of anxiety fear disorders. This specific type of fear arises as a result of anxiety felt in connection with a specific situation, location or thing.
The person may not really even know what it is that they are worried about, when an anxiety disorder such as a panic disorder is present, or what it is that triggers a panic attack. This means that an attack may come on completely unexpectedly and without any sort of explanation. This sometimes leads the person who experienced the attack to associate the attack with some connection with the surroundings or location of the attack.
The person may experience fear in the future when they find themselves in a similar situation to the one they were in when the attack hit. This can lead to avoidance of the specific situation or location or even avoidance of objects or people who were nearby at the time. Later this fear can transform into a phobia. And thus the anxiety fear connection reaches fruition.
Some methods of dealing with the anxiety fear connection are similar. Awareness is a key in both situations. Usually the more a person knows the easier it is for them to understand their situation and cope more rationally. Knowledge can truly be a key to empowerment and coupled with relaxation techniques and proper breathing can be one of the better anxiety attacks natural treatments.
Learning relaxation techniques and breathing can also be helpful for the anxiety fear problem. Replacing harmful methods with helpful ones and being aware of the methods you use naturally is a good way to create less stress and worry around certain situations. This demands evaluating your own behavior and taking the right steps toward changing the harmful behaviors to more healthy ones. You can accomplish this using the anxiety and panic attacks treatment program found on this site.
