This is a special video I wanted to make so that I could share my experience with this adversity, & also help shed some light for those who seek it. I suffered from severe anxiety & panic back in 1995-1996, and to say the least, it was a living nightmare… but now when I look back at it all, it was this particular experience in my life that really helped me grow, allowing me to become the person who I am today. I consider myself very fortunate, & very blessed to have had the ability to overcome this problem (completely) & in turn come out of the situation with tremendous insight, wisdom, & a very clear understanding of it all. It was through this experience that I did some of my most intense writing, as I kept a daily journal trying to make sense of it all so I could heal & regain my life. It was also this writing, along with some very good therapy, that allowed me to fully recover (& beat this thing completely).

As fate would then have it, one day, as I was writing in my journal, I realized (the journal) was actually transforming itself into a book. It was from that point on that I knew I would write this book so that I could help others overcome this adversity as well, & it was also at that point, that I had a very strong feeling along with a very clear vision, that all of this was happening for a reason (to help others). Don’t let this problem interfere with your life one minute longer! Take a step, be strong, & have faith because you CAN beat this thing!

If you would like more info, or to purchase a book, log on to: http://www.Anxiety101.com

or, you can access this link directly on my channel – just click on my name (above) to access my channel.

This book has been in print now (4 years) & the feedback & stories I have received (as to how it has made a difference in the life of others) has truly made it all worth while!

- Stay Strong, God Bless, & hope to hear from you as well! :)

Anxiety Disorders in Children and Teens

Anxiety BC – http://anxietybc.com/index.php

When anxiety causes distress or interference that is much greater than anxiety experienced by other children of the same age, it may be called an anxiety disorder. In this case, the term “disorder” simply indicates that the anxiety problem is significant enough and has lasted long enough (usually at least a number of weeks or months) to be considered a problem that warrants intervention. Commonly, children and teens experience anxiety problems that are characteristic of more than one anxiety disorder. Fortunately, the helpful approaches are similar for various anxiety problems.

If your child has been diagnosed as having a mild to moderate anxiety disorder, it will most likely fit into this list of seven anxiety disorders and subtypes:

Separation Anxiety Disorder
Specific Phobias
Social Anxiety Disorder
Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Panic Disorder
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

panic anxiety treatment disorders disorder depression health attacks symptoms of general generalized and generalised social phobia for agoraphobia cure treatments worry children symptom gad treating nervous causes feeling therapy cause bipolar schizophrenia mental ocd stress self help

A panic attack has similarities with this, but there are notable differences. A panic attack often occurs when there is no obvious physical threat, and the feelings are stronger than normal panic. However panic attacks are not dangerous and therefore nothing bad is actually going to happen to you. It is very important that you accept this. It is simply like a false alarm like an annoying smoke detector that goes off at the wrong times. The problem is that our alarm system was designed millions of years ago when we had many more potential dangers to deal with. We have a lot less potential threats to deal with now, but our body does not know this. Instead today we also have lots of different stresses that we are not designed to deal with (see article on stress).
